KAMA MOVEMENT™, or simply KAMA is a uniquely designed exercise program that helps you get fit quickly and in addition connects you with your sensuality through your sexual core. “Look good on the outside and feel your best on the inside” is our motto! KAMA MOVEMENT™ is the umbrella of the well known Kama Aerobics classes.
KAMA is a versatile workout that can be practiced in a gym like or yoga studio setting with a personal trainer, in a class format or in a relaxed environment, such as the living room or bedroom. The practice is best done with bare feet on a mat or soft service for the kneeling exercises. Sneakers are recommended for the Cardio portion.
All KAMA workouts flow through 7 stages: warm up, cardio (optional), standing KAMA sculpt, seated KAMA sculpt, hip unlocking, cool down and meditation.
The three main exercises done in KAMA are:
Pelvic lift (butterfly)
Pelvic tilt (unicorn)
Pelvic circle (serpent)
Throughout the Kama practice, these three pelvic core movements are preformed standing, kneeling, and lying down in different positions, variations and frequencies to sculpt different muscle groups. Kama isometric contractions are performed throughout the workout in various postures/positions combined into sequences. Much like Yoga, proper breathing techniques are essential. Key movements, which channel energy to the sexual core and release tension from the area, are repeated throughout the workout.
The end result is a leaned out lower body with much better definition in the legs and lift to the buttocks. These exercises are excellent for building beautiful lean muscles and can be used to promote sensuality as well as to boost libido, fertility, and recovery after childbirth.

THE PELVIC CORE
KAMA focuses on the pelvic core.
Externally, the pelvic core comprises the large muscles that surround the pelvis – the buttocks, lower abdomen, hips, and thighs. The female hormone estrogen encourages fat storage over these muscle groups. Kama helps the body to shed lower body fat by contracting the pelvic core muscles isometrically to maximize fat burning while toning and sculpting them to the desired shape.
The internal pelvic core refers to the group of muscle fibers that span the area underneath the pelvis and support the bladder, uterus, and rectum. These muscles are involved with orgasm, sexual pleasure, urine control, fertility, and childbirth. Just as aging, childbearing, gravity, and weight gain result in laxity and sagging of our external muscles, so do they impact our internal muscles. By completing exercises that target our internal pelvic core muscles, we direct blood flow to the area, which can have a positive impact on libido, sexual pleasure, and fertility as well as recovery and tightening post childbearing and into menopause.
Have you ever wondered why ballerinas have long, lean muscles whereas weight lifters have bigger, bulkier muscles? The answer lies in isometrics. When a muscle undergoes a sustained contraction without moving, like a ballerina who holds her arms in first position, this is called isometric movement. It burns massive amounts of calories and tones muscles rather than bulking them. KAMA utilizes isometric movements of large muscle groups at once to maximize calorie burning and promote toning rather than bulking. To visualize this effect, think of your body when cold and shivering. Our body’s natural response to cold exposure is to contract our abs, arms, thighs and buttocks tightly. Why do we do this? Because isometric muscle contraction of large muscle groups burns calories such that fat energy is converted into heat energy to warm the body.
